Filling in the checkout from Hong Kong

Anyone in Hong Kong can buy for a British Columbia address. The checkout separates the buyer's details from the recipient's; keep them apart and it goes through cleanly:

  • The buyer's block holds your card name, street address, district and region — Hong Kong uses no postal code and district (no postal code).
  • The recipient's block holds their name, Canadian street, city, BC, the V6B 1A1-style postal code and the recipient's phone — the number the driver or courier dials.
  • The card tells them it's from you; the slip inside shows no prices.

The charge, in plain terms

PricesSet in Canadian dollars (CAD). The store's currency menu shows USD, GBP, EUR, AUD and JPY estimates; Hong Kong dollars is not among them — the CAD price is the one to compare.
The chargeYour card is charged in Canadian dollars. Canadian sales tax and the delivery charge for the recipient's address are shown before you pay. Your bank or card provider converts the CAD amount into Hong Kong dollars at its own rate and may add its own fee — the store doesn't set or see that rate.
Which cardsVisa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club and JCB — read from the store's own footer on 2026-09-15. Cards from Hong Kong go through when the billing address is the card's.
Zero at their endNothing is collected from the recipient — no import fee, no duty, no customs — since the basket is built and delivered in Canada.

When can it arrive?

The recipient's postal code goes here — it's checked against the delivery service the checkout runs on, which reports same-day or courier and the days.

Two services: same-day hand delivery in Vancouver and the Lower Mainland (order by 11:00 a.m. Pacific; free over $100, $15.99–$19.99 below) and courier across BC (order by 2 p.m. Pacific; one to three business days; cost at checkout).

Cut-off times converted for Hong Kong

Read the deadlines in Pacific Time, the recipient's zone. Same-day (Vancouver and the Lower Mainland): order by 11:00 a.m. Pacific, any day; businesses receive no later than 5 p.m., homes no later than 9 p.m. Courier (rest of BC): order by 2 p.m. Pacific, Monday to Friday, to ship that day; one to three business days to arrive. For September 17, 2026, that means:

Today on this device: — for same-day, — for courier (your device's time zone: —).

Clock changes in Hong Kong or in BC alter the offset by an hour; the table is fixed to the date above, the line under it is live. The delivery date you choose at checkout is the recipient's, on the Pacific calendar — once Vancouver has passed 11 a.m., the soonest same-day date is tomorrow. No deliveries on Sep 30, Oct 12, Nov 11, Dec 25, Dec 26, Jan 1.

Letters, names and the card

English and Cantonese are spoken in Hong Kong; the store and checkout are in English.

  • On the card: any language in Latin letters, printed as you wrote it. A message in Traditional Chinese has not been tested through this store's card-printing path, so write it in Latin letters (a transliteration is fine).
  • On the billing form: your name and address as your bank spells them, Latin letters.
  • On the delivery label: the recipient's name and Canadian address in Latin letters — the courier reads English, and other scripts can't be checked at the door.
  • On the phone: the recipient's Canadian number, area code first, in the delivery fields; your number may carry Hong Kong's country code.

Where's my order, who to ask, and alcohol

Following the order

Order Tracking asks for the email address you ordered with and the postal code on the order. A very recent order may not appear for a few minutes; if it still doesn't, contact support with the order number from your confirmation email.

Who to contact

The support team ([email protected], +1 (604) 636-0960) works 6:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Pacific, seven days a week, per the store's contact page as read on 2026-09-15. Converted to your clock for September 17, 2026:

  • Hong Kong (HKT): 9:00 p.m. – 8:00 a.m. the next day

Alcohol

Sending a bottle to British Columbia is allowed when the person receiving it is 19 or above (the legal drinking age). Whoever takes it in must be 19+ and show photo ID; alcohol is never left unattended; courier deliveries need an adult signature; and an empty house means a re-attempt or a held parcel. Alcohol-free gourmet baskets and kosher wines are also on the store.

Companies in Hong Kong, recipients in BC

26% of orders from Hong Kong are corporate. The bulk-order tool accepts a spreadsheet or individual entries, gives every recipient their own card and delivery date (same-day and courier addresses together), and bills once in Canadian dollars. Over 100 staff work the Vancouver studio at Christmas.

Questions from Hong Kong buyers

Do you accept Hong Kong cards?

Yes: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club and JCB, billed to your Hong Kong address. The amount is in Canadian dollars, converted by your card issuer.

Will the recipient be asked to pay customs or delivery?

Nothing — no customs, no duty, no import fee, because the gift never leaves Canada. Delivery is free over $100 in the same-day zone, and any courier charge is shown to you, the buyer, at checkout.

What's the same-day deadline?

11:00 a.m. Pacific on the day itself, for Vancouver and Lower Mainland addresses — the table above gives it in Hong Kong time. Other BC addresses: order by 2 p.m. Pacific and it ships that day, arriving in one to three business days.

Will my message in English print correctly?

In Latin letters, yes — verbatim. Not tested for Traditional Chinese, so write it in Latin letters or a transliteration. Use Latin letters for the names and address too.

Can I see the price in Hong Kong dollars?

Only as an estimate from the store's currency menu. The real amount is the CAD total at checkout — gift, tax and delivery — and your bank converts it to HKD at its rate.

Across the province

Langley Township, White Rock, Pitt Meadows, Vancouver, Surrey and more — all same-day, being Vancouver and the Lower Mainland; the rest of British Columbia is courier territory. Since May 2024, 45% of gifts from Hong Kong went to Vancouver, 24% of gifts from Hong Kong went to Richmond; the median order was roughly $185 CAD and December the busiest month. Each major destination has its own page: Vancouver, Richmond, Coquitlam, Burnaby, North Vancouver, Port Coquitlam.
