Two addresses: yours in Ireland, theirs in BC
Anyone in Ireland can buy for a British Columbia address. The checkout separates the buyer's details from the recipient's; keep them apart and it goes through cleanly:
- Billing fields: the cardholder's name as printed, the street address, town, county and Eircode, the Eircode — all yours.
- Delivery fields: everything about the recipient — name, Canadian street address, city, BC, postal code in the V6B 1A1 form, and their telephone, which is what the driver or courier will use.
- Greeting card: signed with your name so they know who sent it; the packing slip is priceless in the literal sense — no amounts printed.

Delivery dates for their address
Enter the recipient's Canadian postal code — the answer comes from the same delivery service the checkout uses: same-day or courier, and the days.
Lower Mainland and Vancouver addresses are same-day when the order is in by 11:00 a.m. Pacific — free delivery over $100, otherwise $15.99–$19.99. Other BC addresses go by courier in one to three business days; order by 2 p.m. Pacific and checkout quotes the shipping.
When to order, on your own clock
The clock that matters is the recipient's — Pacific Time. Vancouver and the Lower Mainland: same-day when the order lands by 11:00 a.m. Pacific, every day of the week, with businesses served no later than 5 p.m. and homes no later than 9 p.m. Rest of BC: courier, shipped the same day for orders by 2 p.m. Pacific (weekdays), one to three business days in transit. Alphabets: the card and the label
Ireland's languages are English and Irish; our store, checkout and delivery labels are English.
- The card. Any language is fine as long as it uses Latin letters; it prints exactly as typed.
- Buyer's name and address. In Latin letters, matching the card statement.
- Recipient's name and address. Latin letters only — the label and the courier's scanners are English, and a name in another script can't be matched at the door.
- Phone numbers. The recipient's Canadian number (area code included) in the delivery fields; your own may use the Ireland country code.

Alcohol
Wine, champagne, beer and spirits go anywhere in BC as long as the recipient is 19 or over, the province's legal drinking age. A driver or courier will only hand alcohol to a person 19+ with photo ID, never leaves it unattended, and a courier requires an adult's signature; with nobody of age at home, delivery is re-attempted or the parcel is held. The store also stocks kosher wine and alcohol-free gourmet ranges.

Is a card from Ireland a problem?
Not at all. Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club and JCB go through with a Irish billing address; the transaction is in CAD and your bank handles the exchange.
Could the recipient get a bill for customs or delivery?
No — there's no border crossing, so no customs, duty or import fee. Delivery is free on orders over $100 in the same-day zone, and courier shipping is charged to you at checkout.
Same-day from abroad — really?
Yes, when the address is in Vancouver or the Lower Mainland and the order arrives by 11:00 a.m. Pacific that day (see the Ireland equivalent in the table). The rest of BC is courier: order by 2 p.m. Pacific, delivered in one to three business days.
Does someone need to be there to receive it?
Not usually. Drivers use a safe spot or a neighbour and notify the recipient; couriers can leave it safely. Only gifts with alcohol wait — they're re-attempted or held.
