Two addresses: yours in the U.S., theirs in BC

We take orders from the U.S. every week. The checkout asks for two sets of details — the person paying and the person receiving — and confusing them is the only common mistake:

  • Billing — the buyer. The billing fields take your name exactly as the card shows it and your street address, city, state and ZIP code; your ZIP code belongs here.
  • Delivery — the recipient. The delivery fields take their name, their Canadian street address, the city, BC, the Canadian postal code (the V6B 1A1 pattern) and their phone number — that's the number the driver or courier will ring.
  • The card. Your name is on the greeting card, so it's clear who it's from; the packing slip carries no prices.

Currency and payment from the U.S.

The price tagEvery price is CAD. The currency switcher can display USD equivalents for orientation; the actual charge is still in CAD.
What you payA CAD amount — the gift, Canadian sales tax and delivery to that address, all displayed before payment. Your card issuer turns it into U.S. dollars at the issuer's rate, possibly plus a fee; the store has no part in that conversion.
Payment methodsThe store shows Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club and JCB (2026-09-15). the U.S.-issued cards are fine; use the address the card is registered to.
Zero at their endNothing is collected from the recipient — no import fee, no duty, no customs — since the basket is built and delivered in Canada.

Which service does their address get?

Look up the BC address by the recipient's postal code: the live service behind the checkout answers with same-day or courier and a transit time.

The 11:00 a.m. Pacific cut-off gives same-day delivery in Vancouver and the Lower Mainland (free over $100, else $15.99–$19.99); the 2 p.m. Pacific cut-off gets a courier parcel moving to the rest of BC, one to three business days away, with the rate at checkout.

Delivery timing, in your time

Everything is timed on Pacific Time, which is what the recipient in BC lives on. For same-day hand delivery in Vancouver and the Lower Mainland the order must be in by 11:00 a.m. Pacific on the day (any day of the week; workplaces get it no later than 5 p.m., homes no later than 9 p.m.). Courier orders for the rest of the province go out the same day if placed by 2 p.m. Pacific on a weekday and take one to three business days. Here is what those cut-offs are for September 17, 2026 — the U.S. spans several zones, so pick yours:

The rules on alcohol

Wine, champagne, beer and spirits go anywhere in BC as long as the recipient is 19 or over, the province's legal drinking age. A driver or courier will only hand alcohol to a person 19+ with photo ID, never leaves it unattended, and a courier requires an adult's signature; with nobody of age at home, delivery is re-attempted or the parcel is held. The store also stocks kosher wine and alcohol-free gourmet ranges.

Companies in the U.S., recipients in BC

22% of orders from the U.S. are corporate. The bulk-order tool accepts a spreadsheet or individual entries, gives every recipient their own card and delivery date (same-day and courier addresses together), and bills once in Canadian dollars. Over 100 staff work the Vancouver studio at Christmas.

What The U.S. customers ask us

Do you accept American cards?

Yes: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club and JCB, billed to your American address. The amount is in Canadian dollars, converted by your card issuer.

Any duty or fees at their end?

None. The basket is assembled and delivered in Canada, so customs and import fees don't apply. Same-day-zone delivery is free over $100; courier costs appear at your checkout.

How early must I order for delivery today?

Before 11:00 a.m. Pacific (converted for the U.S. in the table above) if the address is in Vancouver or the Lower Mainland. For the rest of BC the courier cut-off is 2 p.m. Pacific, then one to three business days.

The checkout asks for a date — which calendar?

The recipient's, i.e. Pacific time. Pick the day the gift should reach them; after 11 a.m. in Vancouver the earliest same-day date becomes the following day.

Can a bottle go in the basket?

It can, for a recipient aged 19 or over; the driver or courier asks for photo ID and won't leave it unattended.
